Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. The majority of her youth listening to music from the past Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music, as well older classical songs. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, as well as all dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. In 2000, she relocated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for music and arts. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
